The history of Hotel Ambra began with the determination of Rocco and Amelia Perfetti. Rocco, born in 1921, served as a motorcycle carabiniere in the early 1940s. At the end of World War II, after two years of imprisonment in concentration camps, he returned to Pescara and married Amelia. Together with his wife, Rocco resumed the restaurant business with his brother and father Gaetano, who named the trattoria "Osteria da Gaetano," which opened its doors as early as 1936. From 1963 Rocco and Amelia began their accommodation business independently by opening the "Hotel Ambra," which in the 1960s and 1970s performed the dual function of hotel-restaurant.
The business gradually expanded over time always remaining in the direct management of the family, passing by one generation to Lino Perfetti and family in 1997.
Today we and our staff strive to maintain our offerings characterized, as per tradition, by the family atmosphere and attention to the quality of the products offered and services provided, such as in breakfast, where we offer homemade products and the best brands.

La storia dell’ Hotel Ambra ha inizio con la determinazione di Rocco e Amelia Perfetti. Rocco, nato nel 1921, prestava servizio come carabiniere motociclista all’inizio degli anni ’40. Alla fine della seconda guerra mondiale, dopo due anni di prigionia nei campi di concentramento, rientra a Pescara e sposa Amelia. Insieme a sua moglie, Rocco riprende l’attività di ristorazione con suo fratello e suo padre Gaetano che ha dato il nome alla trattoria “Osteria da Gaetano”, che aprì i battenti già nel 1936. Dal 1963 Rocco e Amelia iniziarono la loro attività ricettiva in autonomia aprendo l’“Hotel Ambra” che negli anni ‘60 e ’70 svolse la duplice funzione di hotel-ristorante.
L’attività si è ampliata gradualmente nel tempo rimanendo sempre nella gestione diretta della famiglia, passando di una generazione a Lino Perfetti e famiglia nel 1997.
