The Fortress of Civitella del Tronto, located at 600 m. above sea level in a strategic position with respect to the old northern border of the Viceroyalty of Naples with the Papal State, it is one of the largest and most important military engineering works in Europe characterized by an elliptical shape with an extension of 25,000 m2 and a length of over 500 m .

Descrizione
La Fortezza di Civitella del Tronto, situata a 600 m. s.l.m. in posizione strategica rispetto al vecchio confine settentrionale del Viceregno di Napoli con lo Stato Pontificio, è una delle più grandi e importanti opere di ingegneria militare d'Europa caratterizzata da una forma ellittica con un’estensione di 25.000 mq ed una lunghezza di oltre 500 m.
