The Circolo Aternino, whose building has recently been restored to its former glory,boasts outstanding statutory peculiarities, being able to safely trace its foundation to the years of Italian unification.
Located next to the home of G.D'Annunzio, it saw the frequentation of the Vate and many other illustrious figures.
It has been the baptismal font of entrepreneurial, commercial and artistic initiatives and, thanks to its aggregative function, has proved to be an essential instrument in leading the city to the holding of prestigious records in the national arena.
Today Pescara is a city that does not seem to enjoy a stable anchorage to its ancient origins.
Circolo Aternino wants to restore the historical evidence and renew the propulsive fruition of yesteryear, obviously in the spaces allowed by the changed institutional, social and environmental situations.
The symbol of the medusa,logo of the Voluntary Association, with the double-reading face, constitutes in itself an anticipatory form of a program of rediscovery of the roots; the propulsive and creative will, conveyed by the youthful image, intends then to provide the city with innovative messages of modernity and solidarity anchored in the recent European reality.

Il Circolo Aternino, il cui edificio è stato recentemente riportato al vecchio splendore,vanta peculiarità statutarie di tutto rilievo, potendo far tranquillamente translare la sua fondazione agli anni dell’unificazione italiana.
Sito a fianco dell’abitazione di G.D’Annunzio, ha visto la frequentazione del Vate e di tanti altri illustri personaggi.
E’ stata la fonte battesimale di iniziative imprenditoriali, commerciali e artistiche e, grazie alla sua funzione aggregativa, si è rivelato strumento essenziale per portare la città alla detenzione di prestigiosi primati in campo nazionale.
Oggi Pescara è città che sembra non godere di una stabile àncora alle sue origini antiche.
Il Circolo Aternino vuole ripristinare le evidenze storiche e rinnovare la fruizione propulsiva di un tempo, ovviamente negli spazi consentiti dalle mutate situazioni istituzionali, sociali ed ambientali.
Il simbolo della medusa,logo dell’associazione di Volontariato, con il volto a doppia lettura, costituisce di per sè forma anticipativa di un programma di riscoperta delle radici; la volontà propulsiva e creativa, veicolata dall’immagine giovanile, intende poi fornire alla città innovativi messaggi di modernità e solidarietà ancorati alla recente realtà europea.
